What UNIQLO Does for the Planet, Tellus Does Every Day

When UNIQLO recently opened its first RE.UNIQLO STUDIO in South China at Guangzhou’s Victoria Plaza, it marked more than just another store launch. The workshop is dedicated to repairing, remaking, and upcycling garments—giving clothes a second life instead of a one-way ticket to the landfill. Today, this initiative is active in 72 stores across 23 countries.

But this isn’t a passing trend. It’s a genuine shift in how the industry thinks about value.
As a long-time manufacturing partner of UNIQLO, we watched the news with a quiet sense of pride. Not because we happened to be riding the same wave, but because sustainability has always been part of our DNA. For Tellus, it’s not a recent initiative—it’s simply how we work.

Sustainability Doesn’t Start on the Shelf

UNIQLO’s philosophy is simple: make good things last.
As their manufacturing partner, we apply that same principle to everything we produce—building durability, repairability, and recyclability into every design.

Our product range includes hangers, storage shelves, hooks, and display fixtures. They may not be worn, but they support quality garments day in, day out. So we hold ourselves to the same standard UNIQLO sets for its clothing. We build for years, not seasons. We make goods that endure, not goods that are disposable.

What Does Sustainability Look Like Inside Our Factory?

Step into our facility, and you’ll see that sustainability isn’t just a buzzword here—it’s embedded in our entire production system:

  • Bamboo and wood – renewable, low-carbon, and faster-growing than solid timber. Natural from source to return.
  • Powder coating – solvent-free and zero VOC, offering a far greener alternative to traditional paints—without compromising on scratch resistance or durability.
  • A decade-ready standard – every product is engineered and tested to withstand ten years of use, not just a single season.
  • Made-to-order manufacturing – we produce on demand to minimize waste from the outset, avoiding the trap of overproduction.
  • End-to-end traceability – from raw materials to finished goods, every step is auditable and transparent.

We’ve Been Doing This All Along

When we heard about UNIQLO’s RE.UNIQLO STUDIO, we felt both grounded and proud.

Grounded, because the idea of “making good things last” has long been woven into our daily production routines.
Proud, because we share UNIQLO’s conviction that the future of retail isn’t just about volume sold—it’s about the legacy left behind.

We don’t make clothes. But every hanger, every storage rack we produce serves the same purpose: supporting garments through their second, third, and even fourth lives.

Looking for a Green Manufacturing Partner?

Whether you’re looking to improve the environmental performance of your products or reduce your carbon footprint from day one, we’d love to talk. We welcome custom orders, support small-batch production, and offer both OEM and ODM services.

Making good things last. That’s not just UNIQLO’s aspiration—it’s a commitment we refine every day, right here on our factory floor.
